EnerSys PowerSafe SBS XL 2V Series batteries are DIN-sized, valve-regulated lead-acid single cells which are engineered for exceptional performance and long service life in stable grid float applications, even at elevated operating temperatures. By combining thin plate pure lead (TPPL0 technology with catalyst integration, PowerSafe SBS XL batteries offer extended life, reducing the need for replacements over the lifespan of power infrastructure. This results in a market-leading, low total cost of ownership. The SBS XL 2V Series is ideal for use in Telecommunications, Central Office, Utilities and Switchgear, Substations, and Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) applications.

- Negative plates provide perfect balance with positive plates to ensure optimum recombination efficiency
- Low resistance microporous glass fiber mat separator with high absorption and stability
- Containers and covers have UL94 V-0 rated flame retardant ABS material, highly resistant to elevated temperatures, shocks, and vibrations
- High grade dilute sulfuric acid is fully absorbed into the separator for extended float life at high temperatures and to prevent spillage in case of accidental damage
- Proven, high integrity dual-seal terminal design to prevent leakage over the product life
- Self-regulating pressure relief valves prevent ingress of atmospheric oxygen
- Catalyst technology reduces water loss for longer operational float life
- Integral flame arrestors offer increased operational safety
