C&D Technologies’ KCR Series Batteries are flooded batteries engineered to deliver superior performance and reliability throughout their service life. Each battery is manufactured using proprietary design techniques and high-quality components and materials to minimize maintenance and extend battery longevity. The KCR Series Batteries are NEBS-approved and offer a wide range of capacities within a compact footprint, making them ideal for a variety of telecommunications applications. KCT lead-calcium stationary batteries are commonly utilized in telephone central offices, mobile telephone switching centers, cable headend sites, fiber optic regenerator stations, microwave repeater sites, and various telephone and internet network nodes.

  • Proprietary vacuum-assisted, bottom-pour, positive-grid casting assures void-free grid quality resulting in 20 year service life.
  • Waterbath charging results in consistently formed plates for reliable performance out of the box (no cycling required in the field).
  • Computer-controlled heli-arc welded post seals result in consistent and reliable seals for less maintenance and longer product life.
  • Single-cell design for reduced weight per jar and ease of handling

  • Flooded Vented Lead Acid (VLA) Battery
  • Standard flame-retardant covers enhance battery plant safety with self-extinguishing properties, LOI>32%, UL 94V-0 
  • Low-evaporation, flame-arrester vent to extend watering intervals and prevent external sparks from reacting with the hydrogen inside the cell
  • Copper-inserted posts reduce resistance and increase system reliability
  • Dual hole post design allows connector maintenance without removing the battery from service
  • Suspended positive plates permit free growth without pressure on the jar and cover
  • Transparent container allows for visual inspection of the plates
  • Soft rubber post seal minimizes stress on the post reducing maintenance requirements
  • Available in Poly and San
