Power Storage Solutions Announces Purchase of Stationary Power Solutions Division of Interstate Batteries®
Power Storage Solutions will continue to offer critical power services across the stationary power market
DALLAS – May 22, 2018 – Power Storage Solutions, a company specializing in critical power services, announces an agreement with Interstate Batteries, the No. 1 replacement battery brand in North America, to purchase its Stationary division of PowerCare, effective May 21, 2018. The sale allows Power Storage Solutions to focus their team on the servicing the Telecommunications, UPS, Petrochemical, Utility, Financial, Healthcare and Grid Storage markets.
Power Storage Solutions, based in Dallas, currently offers installation and maintenance services to critical stationary DC power customers. The company is led by former director of Interstate PowerCare’s stationary division, Terry Cummings, who joined Interstate in 2007. He will continue to oversee the stationary power business as CEO of Power Storage Solutions alongside its president, Steve Baker, also a long-time Interstate PowerCare team member.
Interstate Batteries, the No. 1 replacement battery brand in North America, announces an agreement with Power Storage Solutions, a company specializing in critical power services, to purchase its stationary division of PowerCare, effective May 18. The sale allows Interstate to focus on the company’s core business, serving as a leading automotive battery supplier to the largest independent battery distribution system in North America, with the commitment to be First Choice in every community served.

Services provided by Interstate’s PowerCare Stationary Division include EF&I (Engineer Furnish & Install) of DC power plants; capacity testing; UPS sales and service; and custom and standard preventative maintenance of critical DC battery systems in the data center, telecommunications, petrochemical, medical and industrial markets.
