Officer Team
Terry Cummings
CEO
During the transition from Lucent Power Systems to Tyco Electronics Services, Terry founded a startup services company for communications and power equipment installation worldwide. This would later become Lineage / GE Services. Operated as a standalone company providing broad based installation and engineering services to support customers of telecommunications power products.
While with Lucent Power in International Strategic Marketing, Terry developed and implemented a long-term strategic plan for the Power Systems division in the international market. He typically worked on projects such as start-up manufacturing, plan implementation for the Brazilian market, the service operations in the international and global commercial markets, and frequently evaluated companies for private labeling and acquisitions.
While at Reliance CommTec, Terry developed the engineering processes and manpower to provide EF&I services for the Regional Bell Operating Companies. This lead to numerous international ventures, following the RBOC’s into other markets around the world. Terry also started a services business in Great Britain to supply products and services to NYNEX and the telephone / cable operations nationwide. This was the foundation of the DC plant services later to become Emerson Network Power.

Steve has been married for 19 years and has two children. In his free time, he is involved in home projects. He enjoys spending time with his family and sharing in their interests.
When asked to tell us something he would like us to know about himself, this was his heartfelt response:
“My personal priorities are straightforward; family, faith and country. I have been so blessed with a loyal, kind, warm, funny and loving family, which consists of my wife and soulmate, our 14 year old son, and our 10 year old daughter. I am blessed to have been raised in a Christian home with parents who just celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary. I also enjoy time with my in-laws, who just recently celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary. Although I have never served in our great military, I believe to my core that we are the greatest country. Once or twice a month, I enjoy taking my son to breakfast in search of a veteran wearing a hat or shirt indicating they’ve served. We thank them for their service and engage in conversation about their military past.”

Ryan Penton
Controller
Ryan grew up in Vermilion, Ohio and served in the Marine Corp before moving to Texas. In 2002, Ryan earned his associates degree in Accounting from Eastfield College. In 2005, he graduated from UT Dallas with bachelors degree in Accounting and Information Systems.
Prior to joining us, Ryan worked with Terry Cummings, our CEO, at Tyco around 2002. Right before Terry left Tyco for Interstate, Ryan left to explore other industries. Once Terry made the decision to start PWRSS, he asked Ryan to join the team in our accounting and finance department. Lucky for us, Ryan joined PWRSS in August of 2018, just 3 short months after PWRSS was founded. Ryan has now helped multiple start-ups get off the ground in multiple industries.
We asked Ryan what it’s like working for PWRSS and this was his response: Employee satisfaction is at the very top of our list of priorities. Every Monday the Executive team meets, and I can’t recall a situation or decision where we didn’t ask how it will affect everyone. I understand that it may not always feel that way to everyone, but there isn’t a person in this company that can’t pick up the phone and call any of us to discuss any issue they are having. I do not recall having that ability in any other place I’ve been employed.
Ryan is also an avid golfer and claims to be a 9 handicap on the golf course right now, but if you watched him play you’d swear it was 15!
