H Bundrant!

H is one of our many talented Field Application Engineers based out of our Orlando office.

• How long have you worked in the industry and how long have you been with us?
  • This year marks my 25th anniversary in the industry. I began with Telecom Power Systems in May 1999, which then became Interstate Powercare in 2003, before finally evolving into Power Storage Solutions in 2018.
• Where did you grow up and where are based now?
  • I currently reside in Ormond Beach, FL. However, as a military (U.S. Navy) dependent, I had the privilege of living in multiple locations while growing up. California, Washington, and especially Guam were my favorite locations as a child. My father eventually retired from the Navy and moved to Waynesboro, TN, which I claim as my hometown.
• Tell us about your educational background, family life, and hobbies outside of work.
  • My education after high school graduation ended at three semesters of college. In fact, I actually suspended my educational pursuits when I entered this industry. Originally, I had only intended to work during summer break but quickly discovered that I had both an interest in the industry and the talent to perform the work well. Regarding my family, I don’t want to divulge too much, as I like to maintain some separation between my personal and professional life. I will say however, that I maintain a very close relationship with my four adult children, three siblings, and finally, my mother. As for my personal hobbies, they tend to be somewhat fluid depending on my mood. That being said, my favorite hobbies include reading, drawing, powerlifting (or weight training in general), and retro video games. More recently, I have developed a huge interest in international travel, despite my fear of flying.
• What are 3 words that describe you?
  • Intelligent
  • Self-motivated
  • Witty (somewhat debatable, depending on who is asked)
• Before working at Power Storage Solutions, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had?
  • My favorite job prior to PWRSS would be the years I spent as an enlisted member of the United States Army. Even though my military service was short-lived, the experiences I had and the friendships I made will last me a lifetime.
• Tell us about one of your biggest successes with a customer and/or within the organization.
  • Without a doubt, my biggest success with the customer AND within the organization would be being entrusted with my current role in the company. Simply put, my predecessor, Jesse Baldwin, was regarded by one of our biggest customers as the G.O.A.T. of field application engineers, a sentiment shared by many of us in the Florida market. His untimely passing left a huge void, and to have the vote of confidence by both company and customer to fill that void is an enormous honor, and I say that with absolutely zero hyperbole.
• What are 3 words to describe Power Storage Solutions?
  • Dynamic – Technologies are constantly evolving within our industry. It is critical that our skill sets also evolve to provide top-rated services to our customers. PWRSS has always strived to keep abreast or even ahead of the game.
  • Respected – The quality of our services has garnered great praise from not only our customers, but our competitors as well. Our team members are widely recognized as some of the best in the industry.
  • United – There have been numerous times when I have bumped heads with my fellow team members in Florida, especially my late predecessor, with whom I have had some legendary disagreements regarding procedure in the field. Nonetheless, our end goals were always aligned – provide the highest quality service to our customer base and maintain our company’s status as a proven industry leader. This sentiment is shared by all in Florida, and I remain quite confident that similar unity is cultivated throughout our sister regions as well. As such, “united” seems an appropriate description for our company, perhaps even the best one.
• Who is someone that inspires you within the company? Why?
  • I’ve drawn inspiration from numerous team members throughout my career, beginning with the owners, who not only had the vision to build this company, but also the perseverance to fight through the hardships created by the pandemic. Another source of inspiration would be my service “rival” of nearly 25 years, who never fails to impress me with their quality of work, inspiring me to continuously improve my own craftsmanship as to not fall behind. More recently, one of our Florida team members is exploring food service as a means of better serving their community, inspiring me to consider ways to serve my own community in a meaningful fashion.
• What is your favorite part about working for Power Storage Solutions?
  • Without question, it is the people I work with, both near and afar. PWRSS remains successful because the people within are fully committed to making it so.
