Enrique Briones!
Enrique is one of our many talented Logistics, Inventory, and Warehouse Managers based out of our Dallas office.
- How long have you worked in the industry and how long have you been with us?
- I’ve been working in the battery business for a little over 28 years. I’ve been with Power Storage Solutions since its inception in 2018. I feel blessed to be a part of a great group of people who came over from Interstate Power Care, worked hard to form Power Storage Solutions, and have managed to continue growing through every obstacle. We all rode through the pandemic together, shortly after the company was formed and we’re still growing. It’s a testament to our teamwork and proof that we’re doing something right.
- Where did you grow up and where are based now?
- I grew up in Mexico, but moved to the United States in 1980. I am based out of Dallas.
- Tell us about your educational background, family life, and hobbies outside of work.
- I’ve been working in shipping and receiving since high school, so more than 30 years. I’ve been married to my amazing wife Angelica for 37 years. Together, we have four children – one boy and three girls. In my spare time, I like to go fishing or hunting. Every once in a while I like to go bowling. *A note from the editor – Enrique is insanely good at bowling. Don’t let him tell you otherwise!*
- What are 3 words that describe you?
- Cooperative
- Detail-oriented
- Responsible
- What advice would you give to a newly hired salesperson?
- Truly listen to what a customer needs. Sometimes, they don’t always know exact what they need so you must listen closely to their goals and pain points. Doing this, allows you to deliver the best service and solutions to each customer. It’s a learned skill for sure, but a skill that will carry you through your career. Also, do your best to respond to customers in a timely fashion. The easiest way to lose a customer is by not being attentive or reachable. That time spent waiting is enough time for your competition can get their foot in the door.
- How have you grown professionally since becoming part of the Power Storage Solutions team?
- Every day presents new challenges and opportunities to learn and grow. Keeping logistics flowing without interruptions is an accomplishment in itself, but the pandemic threw many wrenches into my workflow from 2019-2022. From shutdowns to supply chain to shipping delays, it was a challenge. However, it forced me to get creative and iron out some smaller kinks in our systems that were in my control. I’ve learned a lot and hope to continue doing so.
- What is your favorite part about working for Power Storage Solutions?
- Our staff is composed of some of the kindest souls I’ve ever worked with. Their willingness to help and support each other is unmatched. You can easily learn something from everybody in the company, no matter their department. Everyone has a common goal of goal of ensuring the success of the company, which motivates me to do the same. Overall, it’s just a great working environment with multiple levels of support available when needed.
