James Coker!
James is one of our many talented strategic sales managers based out of our Houston office.
- How long have you worked in the industry and how long have you been with us?
- I worked in upstream drilling operations doing logging-while-drilling (LWD) and measuring-while-drilling (MWD) from June 2005 to March 2022 when I came to PWRSS.
- Where did you grow up and where are you based now?
- I was born and raised in Huntsville, TX. I have lived in Montgomery, TX since 2012.
- Tell us about your educational background, family life, and hobbies outside of work.
- I received a bachelors of science in mechanical engineering from Texas A&M in May of 2005. I am married with 3 kids – 2 boys and a girl. Outside of work, I spend a lot of time with the kids doing scouting with Boy Scouts of America. I am the Cubmaster for our local Pack 351, which is K-5th grade. I am also an assistant scoutmaster for local troop 351, which is 6th grade until 18 years old. My eldest son is in the troop, my middle son is in the pack, and my daughter will be old enough to join next year when she reaches kindergarten. When not doing any of that, I enjoy hunting and shooting.
- Tell us about one of your biggest successes with a customer and/or within the organization.
- I have made it a point to work with my operations team to provide them clear guidance and notes on the work I quote. This is in an effort to minimize down time and cost. To date the feedback I have received has been good from the team, and we have a fantastic working relationship.

- How have you grown professionally since becoming part of the Power Storage Solutions Team?
- I have become more self-disciplined as my success is more determined from my output than previous career and I only have so many hours in the day to balance work and family.
